Today I’m sharing another beautiful post from Larry P., in the 30 Day Journaling Challenge, on this theme of “what should I do”?.

“Dear God – I know that my value does not lie in what I do.  I know that I Am a Being – not a “doing”.  So why am I always thinking about what I should do next?  Frequently, I am not truly present because I’m thinking about doing something else or being somewhere else.  Other than the time I take for meditation, it is difficult for me to simply sit or lie down and rest during my day.  I am now in a place where I will be alone most of the time with no external responsibilities.  I set this up so I can do my writing.  Even if I apply myself to that task, I will still have a good deal of time to myself.  Is this my opportunity to learn to be still?”

“Dear One – Be still now.  Even when you write to Me, your mind flits from place to place, thinking about what you will do the rest of the day.  Yes – this time is an opportunity both to write your book and to practice Stillness.  You needn’t “learn” Stillness.  You have always known it.  YOU are still.  YOU are always at Peace.  It is only your human consciousness that flits about.  Let that consciousness open to YOU and practice the Stillness that you know.  When your consciousness is still, you know My Peace and My thoughts flow through you.  You find inspiration and creativity for that is My natural state – YOUR natural state.  You needn’t be at a remote lake to know this but you are at a remote lake so practice Stillness there and know that you can enter that place anywhere, anytime, for I Am always with you………..God”
