“Good morning my love.  As you are noticing that your old defenses are now gone, you are discovering that all your efforts to hold up your imaginary walls of protection didn’t really protect you from anything.  As you are experiencing this profound level of radical change, you are realizing that all the “stuff” that you were worried about didn’t really matter or even exist.  Here is the opportunity for you to move with a deeper awareness of what does matter and what is real.  Today, you are going back to your home to see what you have left and what was destroyed.  If you allow yourself to let go of everything that you thought your life was about, and let what wants to emerge now guide you, you will know what to bring back and what you will leave.  You will also find some things you will grieve.  That’s Ok.  This is your forced evacuation from your past.  Receive this as a gift.

Love,
God”

“It is in the letting go that you find peace.  There is no hurrying or pushing required.  Be with your feelings and energy – without judgement.  Your belief that you need to push yourself to do what you think you need to do in order to “stay safe” is the delusion.  Trust that everything will fall into place and that the only thing you need to do is to honor your self.  For this is where you honor everyone and everything, which includes me.

Love,
God”

Good morning God.  I’m so grateful for the all the gifts I have received in the past couple days, with friends offering free living and office space, family calling out of the blue to offer money, and the outpouring of concern from people all over the country.  I’m truly feeling loved and blessed.  But I’m also feeling disoriented as the “land of the known” where I was living my life has changed radically.  I consider myself fairly adaptable, but I have to admit that I am mentally and physically disoriented.   I continue to have this overwhelming sense that all there is left to do, is to let go.

“Hello my love.   You are feeling the effects of these changes deeply and  finding that any attempt to hold on seems to crumble like the shores in the path of the raging river, and that there really isn’t anything to hold on to.  And it is in the letting go that you will discover that you are held in the most miraculous ways.  As your sweet friend Sharon said, it is your turn to receive and give the gift of giving to others.

Let your heart release what it has been holding onto and touch the love and tenderness within you.  Come home to me and allow Divine love to heal and hold you.  As you look around at what is left in your life, don’t forget to also look within.  There is one thing that you can never lose, and that is me.

Love,
God”

“Hello My Love, I see your tender heart and know that you can feel the immensity of what has changed in your life. The shock to your being is as real as the icy waters you walked through to get to your home after the flood. There is a reality to this event that transcends your day-to-day doings and jolts you into focusing on what truly matters. Be with this now. Be with all of it, no matter where you are and what is happening. Keep your heart open especially when it feels overwhelming. There is a gift of deep transformation within this experience – yet it does not come from the flood – it comes from what you do with it.

Love,
God”

September 14th

Sorry I missed yesterday’s Daily Reminder.  As you probably know, I live in the small town of Lyons, CO.  At 2:30 am, Sept. 13th, we were evacuated from our homes as our town began experiencing its worst flooding in over 100 years.  Some of you in the Colorado Front Range may be experiencing similar problems and I send my prayers to you.  I am fine, and my things are actually in good shape with just a few things ruined in my garage.  Unfortunately, my beautiful town and the lives of many of my friends have been changed forever.

Still, I had the opportunity to see this incredible community of people looking out for each other and making sure everyone had shelter, food, and supplies.  I witnessed people who lost everything worried more about their neighbors needs, and many who were safe, offering their homes to strangers.  I didn’t have a chance to meditate and write, but I continued to ask God “what is mine to do and what is mine to witness.”  And in the midst of the destruction I felt deep sadness, grief, awe, and gratitude – and I have cried.  But as God wrote to me in one of my Journals, “If you did not love, then you could not cry”.  So I am crying with immense love and gratitude for this life and for everyone in it – including you.

Blessings,

Diane Dandeneau

BBC Interview

Friday, September 13th, 2013

The night I got out of Lyons after the flood, my phone rang and a woman with a British accent said, “hello, this is the BBC calling, are you with the Town of Lyons?”  I was in a bit of shock, but after talking with her for a few minutes, we made a plan for me to do a skype interview with them and upload the flood footage I took.  Here is the interview:

God, I’m aware that I’m writing this for September 11th, a day of great tragedy 12 years ago.  I remember writing about this with you in the past and asking how something like this could be Sacred.  I am still trying to understand this.

“Yes My Love, even in tragedy, you can find the Sacred.  You are also given the opportunity to touch the Sacred within you.  For the Sacred is also found in your pain, loss, and sorrow.  And it is another expression of love.  The time right after Sept. 11th, you and so many others were touched and changed.  Many responded with great help and support to those directly affected.  Others showed up with greater caring and kindness for everyone in their lives, reminded of the precariousness of this existence.  Everything that happens calls forth an opportunity to awaken – to recognize what is Sacred.  Today the leaders of the world have decided to respond in a very different way than they did 11 years ago – even in the aftermath of another horrific tragedy.  This is the unfolding of awakening and it is a very Sacred process.

Love,
God”
