Good morning God. I was reading today in the Course in Miracles an affirmation for choosing your will: “I will there be light.  Darkness is not my will”.  
 
“This is pointing to the true power you have and who you truly are.  It is also pointing to the light being very literal.  You create the light in your life and from this light you can see the truth clearly and powerfully.  When I said “let there be light”.  You said “let there be light”.  Do not underestimate the power you possess.

Good morning God. In my meditation this morning I felt a shift happen – a clear transition from the worried victim powerless place to an energized place of feeling clear, powerful, empowered, inspired and creative.  This is where I want to live!  Why don’t I wake up in this state?
 
“Good morning my love.  These lower levels of consciousness are the default levels which most of the people you are around (and the most of the world) live.  This is where you have lived for much of your life.  But the more you choose to move into higher levels of consciousness, the more they will become your default state of being.  And it is your practice of shifting your level that will achieve this.  So now, go into your day from this place and notice the difference.  The truth is you can choose your level of consciousness.  This is what choosing Heaven means.  You are always empowered to do this.  Do you believe it?

Good Morning God.  Here I am, two months after the flood with many changes in my life.  Sitting here in the middle of the rubble – both figuratively and literally.  Yet, with you, I’m feeling excited and optimistic!

Good morning God.  Not think!?  But I know I have to do something and thinking is part of doing.  
 
“Good morning my love.  I didn’t say not to do anything.  What I was talking about was the type of thinking that is trying to understand, judge, evaluate, estimate, and applying meaning based on inaccurate premises.  If you are going to do that you might as well not waste your time.  If you come to me, we can focus on what you do need to do and what you need to think about from a place of truth.  All is well.  And you will remember this when you stay present and fearless.  And you know where to come to do that.

God, it has now been two months since the floods and I’m back home.  Its sooner that I ever expected with all the damage.  Yet, Lyons is far from back to normal.  I feel like I am far from back to normal.  I’m choosing heaven, but it is hard to see heaven in the middle of the devastation.  
 
“Good morning my Love.  As you know, heaven is a state of being and where you find me.  And I am everywhere.  It is now more than ever that I invite you to quiet your mind and listen.  You won’t know what to do with all the changes alone.  But with me, you will find your way. Stop trying to figure things out with your mind.  It’s not there.  But it is here….  Listen.

“Good morning my love.  Now that you are focusing on “your world”, you wonder, what world is that?  In this life you have free will and infinite choices as to what to focus on.  But I will help you see that it is very simple.  You say you want to live in truth and love and with me.  This is Heaven.  So you can either focus on living in Heaven (and no, that is not a place you have to die to get to), or on everything else.  The hard part is, if you want to live in Heaven you must say no to everything else.

Good morning God. I spent my first night home last night.  It feels good to be here and to re-focus on what I need to do to take care of myself.  I am noticing that it is not easy to focus on “my world”, as I can see others thinking that I’m being selfish.  But I know that what you say is true – that when I am true to myself, it is how I honor me, you and everyone.
 
“Good morning my love.  Yes, in your meditation this morning, you moved through many layers of fear and guilt, and then ultimately connected within to the truth.  Your greatest gifts can only come from choosing to live in your world.  And know that your world is where you live with me.  Do not worry about what you need to do to honor others, this will happen when you are honoring your Self.  Remember this throughout your day.  It will change everything.

Good Morning God.  My utilities are back on at home and I can start moving back.  I spent some time in Lyons the past couple days and it feels sad, yet good to be going home.  I feel a new chapter beginning in my life on so many levels. I’m ready.

“Hello my love.  It is time to move from reaction and survival to intention and creation.  It is time for you to step up decide what direction you are going to take your life.  Before the flood, you said you felt like you were “waiting”.  There is nothing to wait for any more.  Focus on what you (your soul) wants.  Even though things have changed in Lyons, it is a healing place for you.  You are ready and the time is now.  The trajectory for the rest of your life begins right here, right now.  Trust that when your soul is directing you, it will be the greatest trajectory for everyone in your life.

Good morning God.  Sometimes the Serenity Prayer seems in order:  God, please give me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

Good morning God.  Yesterday I went to a celebration for some friends in Austin who were signifying the end of their journey of rebuilding their life after a devastating fire.  They are a beautiful couple who lost just about everything, and with the support of their community and friends have rebuilt and are now embarking on their next chapter in life.  Barbara has been calling me, offering support from a shared knowing of what it is like when the fire or “flood” comes to visit.   I was honored to celebrate with them and touched by meeting so many of the amazing people who have been an important part of their journey.
 
“Good morning my love.  Again you are reminded that we are all family and in this together.  Barbara and Alan were given the gift of receiving the love of their community and though no one wishes upon them selves the destruction and devastation, the gifts are ultimately greater than anyone could imagine.  The one thing that you must understand about this life is that no one gets out unscathed.  And frankly, you don’t want to.  You have come to love and with love comes loss and with loss comes pain.  And the pain cleanses and connects you to the depths of your souls so you can feel the connection to the impermanence and preciousness of life.  Welcome home – remember to enjoy it.  As you have learned, nothing last forever.

God, why does speaking the truth feel scary and heart breaking when it is supposed to be loving?
