God, I’m aware that I’m writing this for September 11th, a day of great tragedy 12 years ago.  I remember writing about this with you in the past and asking how something like this could be Sacred.  I am still trying to understand this.

“Yes My Love, even in tragedy, you can find the Sacred.  You are also given the opportunity to touch the Sacred within you.  For the Sacred is also found in your pain, loss, and sorrow.  And it is another expression of love.  The time right after Sept. 11th, you and so many others were touched and changed.  Many responded with great help and support to those directly affected.  Others showed up with greater caring and kindness for everyone in their lives, reminded of the precariousness of this existence.  Everything that happens calls forth an opportunity to awaken – to recognize what is Sacred.  Today the leaders of the world have decided to respond in a very different way than they did 11 years ago – even in the aftermath of another horrific tragedy.  This is the unfolding of awakening and it is a very Sacred process.
