Good morning God. I had a beautiful day yesterday, being present and feeling trust. I also shared my song Higher Ground at an open mic for flood stories and songs. I heard some incredible accounts of others about their experiences. It was a moving. What I also heard was appreciation for what we all gained in addition to what was lost. I too feel much gratitude for everything I have gained and learned this year, especially my deepening connection with you and a greater opening of my heart.

And nature has a way of doing this like nothing else. It is in the despair where your longing for what truly matters is readily experienced. This is why so many people find their greatest experience of life after a disaster or illness. And the truth is, you came here to experience all of it. There are no accidents. Be with our experience. Drink it up. Share the love, compassion and tenderness you feel. You don’t need to protect your heart any more.
